explorer & firefox error message
LockedRecently I have been recieving and error message on my laptop that is runnig Windows Me,IE & Mozilla. Whenever I try to open any application I get the message “explorer.exe has encountered a problem and will shut down” or something similar, then the firefox message follows. If I don’t close the message box, sometimes I can continue to use the application except when I am in one of the browsers. If I close the message box then the application closes. Very frustrating, I have no trouble connecting with dial-up, but can never get the browsers to stay open. I recently have been trying to install a wireless adapter, but had to give it up. I could not get the wireless network to work. The first card was not for Windows ME, and the next one would install but I could not get the software to configure the wireless network to load. It would load the driver, but would never go to the next step where you put in the SSID & WEP info in. I have been to many tech support sites and could never get this problem resolved. So finally gave up and went back to dail-up and then started having this problem, so am unable to access the internet. I would appreciate any suggestions anyone would have.
