Exporting html text to excel

By bldsm ·
I have about 500 names and addresses from our head office's database which are laid out as a series of web pages and I need to export this data into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet. The html pages have text separated by commas and I want each text block inside commas to end up in inidividual cells in a spreadsheet.

1. Is there a way this can be done without buying new software and if so how please?

2. And if the answer to Q1 is no, then what software will do this accurately.

Thanks
Bruce

Copy the text from the html file and paste it into Excel.

If Excel pastes the info into one big column, with all the info init select the entire column and click Data | Text to Columns...

Choose Delimited and tick Comma.

It will break the data into seperate columns seperated by the comma.

1) Open your html file in save as ".CSV" format.
2) Open Excel and go the File | Open > select the CSV option and point to the CSV file saved from html format.
3) When importing the data excel point the formatting option when you can drag the seperation columns to the commas.
Any probs let me know.
