Exporting Local Policy in Windows XP Pro

    Locked

    Hello,

I am a bit stumped. I cannot find the option to EXPORT the local policy. I have no problem finding the option to import. I am trying to export the local policy I created on one XP system and import it to another XP system. The changes I have made take nearly two hours to duplicate. I’d like to find a way around this. I have successfully exported local policies in 2K with not problems. This option does not exist in XP Pro. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

      Go to the Folder C:\WINDOWS\system32\GroupPolicy

There you can copy the whole folder or just Adm, Machine or User folder depending on which one you need.

OK. This gave me some of the results I was looking for. I copied the entire group policy folder to the new machine, becuase I need to have all of the policy settings to be identical. The Computer configuration did not take effect on the new machine, while the user configuration did. Any ideas?:
