Exporting Outlook 2003 to Outlook 2000

By laura.laughery.gud4 ·
I have Outlook 2003 installed at work. I have Outlook 2000 at home. Prior to 2003 I exported my work calendar and imported it on my home PC. However, now that I have 2003 at work, my Outlook 2000 does not accept the .pst files I'm trying to import from Outlook 2003. Other than purchasing Office 2003 for my home PC, are there any workarounds?

That may be difficult since MS is notorious for not working backwards. If you were to go the other way around, it would probably work like a charm. I had the same problem at work, someone wanted their outlook contacts and calendar in Notes, I tried opening the .pst's in outlook 2002 and couldn't do it. Found out that they were outlook 2003 .pst's. I had to install Office 2003 to get it to work. You can try this, but it may or may not work...http://umich2.com/archives/2005/07/12/revert-outlook-2003-pst-to-2000xp/
