"Extended Error"

By gbusekr ·
I have a user that has Windows 2000 and wants to map to a Windows 2000 server. He gets "An extended error has occured" message. User is defined to the server. Other maps to other servers are okay. Whazzup?

One possible cause of this error is that License Manager has not been set up to
grant enough connections to meet the clients' demands.

There are enough licenses. The problem turned out to be the event log. We changed the setting to overwrite when needed and the user was able to map. However, we are not tracking map events so there would be no log attempts for it. But it works now!
