I was attempting to connect my laptop to my TV and after that did not work, I connected it back to my external monitor (ViewSonic VA930m LCD) and now the display will not display properly on the ViewSonic monitor.
I was previously using the laptop with ViewSonic monitor, and had switched the display to the external (using Fn-F8 keys), leaving the laptop display blank. This is what I want.
After disconnecting the ViewSonic monitor and then reconnecting it, the primary desktop will ONLY appear on the laptop lcd. Using the control panel Display control, I can choose to extend the desktop to the second display, and using the Fn-F8 keys will alternate between showing desktop wallpaper and nothing on the external monitor. This is not what I want, I want the entire display on the external monitor.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
