Question

extra storage

By leopold2607hotmailcom ·
I keep getting these notices to update my windows 10. It says I need 8GB more of space. I bought an external drive that I thought would fix this problem called Maxone., i dont know how much space it has. I followed the video online to find out how to use it, but all it said was where to plug the pieces in.I want to know if i dont install the update will my laptop be susceptible to viruses & such?
I am not computer savy.

The HDD inside the computer needs more space. Windows typically makes lots of Tem Files that do not get deleted during use so you need to phyisically remove them to give you the required space.
The way to do this is empty the Recycle Bin and if you are unsure of the OS you need to run a program like C Cleaner available free here

then defrag your system which may take a while and you should have enough room to do whatever upgrades need doing.

Post back if you have problems.

There is the possibility that corrupt files are eating up your space. if your system is unable to delete these files, I suggest you try using LongPathTool program.
