F3 and F4 volume keys not working

On my laptop’s keyboard, and on many other keyboards the F3 and F4 keys are used for volume up and volume down respectively. In my case, they do not work and when I attempt to change the volume on my device it opens up a Ctrl F search bar in the current window. how do I fix this?

It’s not standard Windows to use those keys. So it’s specific for the machine. So it should be mentioned in the user manual. It’s either some program that runs and might offer some customization, or a driver issue.
Do all other function keys work correctly?

On my desktop installed 3RVX (free download) and use alt + arrow up/down for the volume. That’s a good workaround if you can’t get it working.

The F2 key is volume down and F3 is volume up. It just shows that the Function keys are not universal on all keyboards. I think on most computers, the function keys can be re-assigned through the control panel.
