failed array

By centipede3776 ·
I was running a raid 0 withe two 80 gig Seagate serial drives. My array failed now i cant reload windows. I deleted the old array and rebuilt a new one. I reformatted, repartitioned and reinstalled, but it doesnt work. Windows goes all the way through the installation till it says "setup is starting windows" than it comes up with the errors. Its a cyclic redundancy error. I just built the system two months ago. Im using the same copy of windows that i used origanaly used. My computers been down for two weeks and i dont want to pay 100 dollars and hour to find out it was something silly. Thanks in advance for any help.

If u r getting a CRC error, it means one of the disks is gone. u could try a low-level format(it will take a long time to do it), it MAY solve the CRC problem. But most likely u will have to replace the faulty disk. If machine is only 2 months old, u probably have warranty on parts, so it should not be a problem. I'd suggest replacement of faulty disk.
