Fences vs. folders

by vicki_711 . Updated 17 years, 4 months ago

Lots of good information here but what I really need to know…

I’m not the “IT” guy, just a project manager, so my desktop is littered with shortcuts that “IT” has decided I need (but I have never, ever used any of the shortcuts except one – for VPN when I work remotely)

Can I fence in all this useless clutter? Or should I create a folder for the shortcuts they think I need? Will they delete “fences” the next time I have problems and they re-image my laptop? (Yes, I have admin rights so I could download and install it, not that it would remain with any updates they push out to me)

I know, you are all ROTFLOL at this stupid question but sometimes the IT team does what they think is “best” for the user community and confuses us more! 🙂
