Fiber Channel Networking

Hai friends i have one doubt about Fiber Channel Network. can we use fiber channel as a Local Network (intranet)if it's support what are tools we need ie. Switch, cable, Fiber channel Card, what are the best thing in the market for purchasing the product please give some Diagram

Well you tend to use Optical Fiber

As a Backbone of a LAN and then the Repeaters/Switches that it goes into can be a pass through, Terminator, or just a plain Booster.

From the Switches that I use we route CAT5 Cable to the workstations but it's all Optical Fiber from the Switches.

As for the best thing on the market to Purchase you need to look at who sells this stuff in your area and buy accordingly. But there are special tools to cut the Fiber and others to Crimp ends onto the actual Optical Fiber Cable the rest is pretty much standard though.
