File already open???

When files think they are open, it is usually because of an abnormal close. You can delete the file in the same directory that begins with a tilde ~, it should release the lock. If there are more than one, you can usually figure out which one is associated with your file by the name after the ~.

Hi,

Check computer managment. Right click my computer (icon on your desktop) then select manage. Expand the Shared Folders option, then select open files...you'll find a list of all the files that you have open. This will also tell you if any of them files have been locked. If you see the file that you're trying to open in the open files area simply right click on it and select close open file, this will close the file and the system will no longer think it's open...Note: You may require administrative privlidges if you haven't got them already.

Hope this helps...
