FileMaker Pro and Default Printing

We use FileMaker Pro 6 in my office. It is runnign the latest patch.

If i change the printer on the default printer on a windows computer to another printer Filemaker Pro does not pick this up. IS there anyway to get around this or am I stuckwiht it?
