Find & replace in Access not cooperating
I am having a problem with Access 2000. This problem also occurred in Access 97.
I have a table and it works OK for a long time using the find and replace function.
Then either I change something or it changes on its own, because the find function
only works on the field selected rather than the whole table. I have select each of the
three choices Start of field, Whole field, and any part of field in the Find box. Alas no success.
So what I have done is copy my table and paste to an Excel Spreadsheet.
Then I start a NEW database and Import/ Export to/from Excel.
I then set up my form through the form wizard to complete the new table.
Then the find replace works great.
(This takestime and I want to avoid doing this in the future if possible.)
I have had the Computer support people
stymied by this, as we have done a complete reinstall of Access to no avail.
What the heck is going on? Do you have any solutions that mayshed
some light on this? Maybe it's a setting or property change?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
