Finding past appointments in Outlook

By Kymmie ·
How can you quickly find a list of past appointments for a given client (without using the Find feature - that is not quick). It may have become easier with Outlook 2003.

The real goal is to be able to link/search appointments with contacts; both living in the Public folder. We imported data from Act and were able to see items in the Journal folder and Activities tab of each contact, but have not been able to reproduce that working solely in Outlook.

Not sure I understanda exactly what you want to do, but have you tried a Customized View?

Select your Calendar.
Select View > Current View > Define View.
Create a New View and name it appropriately.
Select the type of view, depending on your likely, anything except day/week/month would probably work.
Select Filter and on the Appointments and Meetings tab use the Attendees button to search for the contact you are looking for.
On the advanced tab add a criteria Start > On or before > yesterday.

Apply the view and that will show all the past appointments for that contact.

Hope this is what you are looking for.
