Folder permissions

By blair.stjust ·
Is there an easy way to get all the folder permissions from an NT 4.0 server to a W2003 server for firstly testing purposes, I have copied the folder structure over (without files)and the old users and groups but need the permissions to continue testing. Any suggestions?

the nt 4 resource kit contains:
and the showacls.exe

(you can send the output to a file.)
which shows you the permissions on the folders.

then you have to set them manually on the w2003.;en-us;158388

Yes there is a way. Robocopy has a switch for moving security with them to new server or device that support NT security. But the actual users need to be in both locations. The command looks like

robocopy <source> <destination> /SEC
