Formula Problems

I want to make a formula that will apply to the whole spreadsheet/workbook.
eg. A B C D E – (E) being the TOTAL column
Daily figures are added to A B C D, and a total is needed in column E, to continue down the page. Okay this is easily done manually but I want excel to auto sum E column as figures are entered in ABCD, all the way down the spreadsheet. I have done this, but does not put the TOTAL going down calculates Grand total and only stays in column E 1, does not bring it down eg E 2, E 3, etc etc. Hope you can understand my explanation and advice, thank you
