Forwarding Email Copy

By CLT-IT_Tech ·
need best solution for the following:

UserA has email address: nameA@ourdomain.com

UserB has email address: nameB@ourdomain.com

A is going to be the ?primary? warranty person with B as their backup. A ?new? email address is to be published to our client community as:service@ourdomain.com

What is the best way to get email coming in to this service email address to A with a copy to the backup user B above???

I would set a rule for the "services@ourdomain.com" account which would tell it to forward all emails to the two addresses. You could then either have it delete the emails after they were forwarded or save it, set another rule, and have that rule delete it after a certain amount of time.

The best way way would be to build a distribution list group mailbox in AD and assign both users to that group. Then they will both get these messages. The only additional item you might want to do would be to assist them with creating a rule to seperate these messages into different folders.

Good luck
