Can anyone tell me how to have your web page automatically link you to another page as soon as you open it....

You can use standard HTML as well, to avoid problems with older browsers or disabled java:
<head>
<META HTTP-EQUIV=REFRESH CONTENT="1; URL=http://www.newsite.com>
</head>

"1" is the delay
