Kirya:
Why a library? How about a nice combination of fetchmail (http://www.tuxedo.org/~esr/fetchmail/) or getmail (http://www.qcc.sk.ca/~charlesc/software/getmail/) and nullmailer (http://em.ca/~bruceg/nullmailer/) glued together with a little scripting?
Otherwise, you could easily extract all the functionality you need out of qmail (http://cr.yp.to/qmail.html). You might also want to check out the mess822 library while you’re there (http://cr.yp.to/mess822.html).
Good luck,
Scott-

If it’s something that is to be run on a server, then try these guys http://www.dimac.dk/ .
They have a program called w3 JMail 4.0 which is free for personal use and should be capable of being integrated with the programmes you specify.Regards

If you think that my answer is valid (I know you must still be considering it as 3 others after have been rejected) then I don’t believe my answer was worth 55555. More like 150 – 250. What do you think?Keith Hall

Dear Kirya,
A very easy answer to your mail is http://www.webbox.com
go & sign up there, it is free.
it copy (i mean it will not remove your pop mail from your popserver) all your pop mails from your popmail server & give it to u as webbased email & u can able to read it through your browser.
If there HTML OR Attachment in mail no problem !!!, it support all.
One more service like this is http://www.mailstart.com, but it doesn’t support attachment.
But if u want to delet few of your mail from the popserver u can do it from this site.
the main feature of this site (mailstart.com), is it is not needed to sign up in this site. just write down your mail id like [email protected] or .net what so it is & your password.
it will connect to your popserver & give all to u on your browser.
but for your case specially to see attachments & html mail http://www.webbox.com is the best.
good luck

Thanks for information, but this task must be automated, it must be a program! I don’t want to read all this hundreds of email by myself and then send it to thousands of email addresses.

Good ridance. -

If youre willing to do a bit of work, Allaire Cold Fusion can do all this. You can automatically download pop mail (with attachments), format it and send it elsewhere. You do need to run cold fusion server though and you need to write a cople of cold fusion pages (very esy to learn).

I may be a bit slow on this answer, so you may have already got it, but MarshalSoft computing has libraries for many development platforms. Here is their info for C++
Found at: http://www.marshallsoft.com/see4c.htm
SMTP/POP3 Email Engine for C/C++
The SMTP/POP3 Email Engine Library for C/C++ (SEE4C) is a library of functions providing easy control of the SMTP (Simple Mail Transport Protocol) and POP3 (Post Office 3) protocols.A simple interface allows sending and receiving email, including multiple MIME base64 and quoted-printable encoded attachments. Knowledge of Winsock and TCP/IP is not needed.
With SEE4C, you can write GUI or console mode programs that easily:
Send email with optional MIME attachments.
Get the number of messages on your email server.
Get the header lines from any email on your server.
Delete any email on the server without reading it first.
Receive any email on your server including MIME attachments.
Multiple example programs are included, demonstrating the SMTP and POP3 functions. Microsoft Foundation Class (MFC) and Borland C++ Builder (BCB) examples are also included.SEE4C can be used in the development of Win16 and Win32 applications running under Windows 3.1, Windows 95/98, and Windows NT/2000. The shareware version of SEE4C is fully functional. Registration is $105 for email delivery and includes one year free updates.
Current version is 3.2.10 (8-3-2000)
