....I’m testing a new self service suitefor Active Directory,(Call2unlock). It is based on IVR and a web config tool.

This is the Link. http://www.call2unlock.com/

So far I’m impressed, the configuration is simple and the users just need to dial by phone to an internal extension to unlock or reset their accounts. It can be integrated to any PBX.

The good part is that they have a free version up to 500 users

Password Self-Service

by ITbatman In reply to Free Self Service Active ...

We are using a solution called Adaxes and Self-Password Reset is a part of it. It allows to verify users' identity either with security questions or SMS and the password reset form can be integrated pretty much anywhere, where you can authenticate through AD, including Windows logon screens. So no helpdesk or whatsoever is needed at all.

It can also send custom notifications about password expiration which you can customize completely, e.g. you can send email to user if the password will expire in 7 days and if it's not reset, you can start sending notifications to user's manager after only 3 days left, all that fully automatically. (http://www.adaxes.com/active-directory_self-service-password-reset.htm )

Also if you consider the price of Adaxes just for self-password reset, it's ridiculous, but if you are using all the other features that it provides, it's more than reasonable.
