    Fritz Fax

    Locked

    by dddddd ·

We are currently using Fritz Fax with a HP Officejet in our Network. The problem is, when sending an fax the recepient recieves the fax, but its smaller than the original fax. I have tried everything and looked at the settings , but nothing seems out of the ordinary.

( Eg: I send out a normal A4 fax doc…but recieving end gets a schrinked fax)

It might be their fax/printer settings, not yours….

What kind of format are you sending it as?
If you can send as say PDF, then they can then open it as big as they like.

The Problem is with the SFF file format

Usually the fax program converts it to a SFF
(Fax Format), now when in this format if you go to the viewer, you will notice that the viewer page is bigger and wider and the Document looks smaller, because it was converted to SFF ( Like the viewer in PDF). SO now the Document is faxed exactly as it is in the Viewer. You can edit the doc using a Graphics editing software but then its time wasting. We cant convert all Fax docs and then send, thats unproductive. Any way..ideas are most welcome..Thanks guys

I’ve seen this happen wiht other machines where I send A4 as it’s

the Aussie standard and the receiver in the US is set to receive the US size we used to call quarto and is slightly smaller than A4, so their system shrinks it to fit the local size. Much more common on plain paper sheet faxes than thermal ones with the roll of paper and a cutter.
