FTP Seesion from single line connect..

Hello,
I am trying to open a FTP session in W2K/IIS 5 using single line connect. For example: $ FTP /USERNAME=/PASSWORD=.
The password keeps getting rejected. Any Ideas?
(and the password is correct, opening a session from multiline I.E.,- FTP, OPEN, HOST, USER.. works fine.)
