FTP to Homestead.com

I’m using Homestead.com for my web hosting. They say I can FTP my files to them, but I can not get it to work. They’re no help either.

I can FTP FTP.HOMESTEAD.COM
then I enter my user and password
then I get a large message from homestead which makes me think I’m in.

But if I do a DIR or CD I get:
200 Port command received
150 About to open Data connection

and it sits there forever.
