I recently installed a clean copy of XP Pro on a Gateway laptop (450ROG). The install was good, but there are several onboard and attached periperals that will not run. The USB controller is not working, the Wireless card (b) is not working and the on-board NIC is not responding.
I have downloaded all the above from the Gateway site, but it may be in the way I am attempting this.
Is there a procedure that I am not getting here?
I detached the wireless card, rebooted, and then attempted to reinstall. the machine did not evern see it at startup.
Please help.
