I have a Gateway Solo 2150 notebook, purchased used, and just put a new battery in it, but the battery won’t charge. The laptop runs fine using the adaptor, so I am wondering if something in the laptop that connects the battery to the incoming power is broken. (As far as I know, the new battery is good.)
Any suggestions for fixing this?
If not, I have been searching for an external battery charger that will allow me to charge my batteries separately and then insert them into the notebook. I’ve come up with nothing after several hours of googling. Does anyone know where I might find such an external charger? Or a kit that with an adaptor that would allow me to use some other brand of external charger with these batteries?
