I recently started working on a few computers at a different location and had to step in where I wasn’t familiar with the setup. The computers had had Lotus 123 installed and our company went to Office 97 years ago. No one used the Lotus any more and we needed the drive space. I looked for a way to “uninstall”, but it wasn’t listed in “add/remove programs”. We no longer even had the software disks to try that route. I finally just deleted it off the hard drives, off all the menus, and went on. Lotus Apps would not let me delete a file called “reminder.exe”. It said it was in use by Windows. I did a Ctrl+Alt-Del to see what was running and could find no reference to it at all. Then rebooting gives an error about that same file “reminder.exe”. I can’t find any record of it in the start files, autoexec, config.sys, etc. Anybody know how to get rid of this annoyance?
