Get rid of one OS at boot

By fathom ·
I just reformatted my computer. Now when I reboot, It asks me to pick an operating system. Both say Windows XP Home. If I pick the first one in the list, it works. If I pick the second one in the list. It doesn't. Is there a way to get rid of that second one in the list without having to format again? Please help.

click start, navigate, control panel, system. With the systems property page open, click on the advanced tab. under startup and recovery heading click the settings radio button. Under start up time to display list of operating systems, default is 30 seconds. you can change that to 0 OR uncheck the box for allowing time to choose.
