Getting a strange rundll error

By AB COMPUTING ·
i am working on a Dell Vostro 1500 notebook. On start up I get the following Rundll error:

Error loading c:\windows\csvbdp.dll

I have never encountered this error. I have tried a windows repair and chkdsk /r. Is there anyone who can offer a solution?

Got Anti-virus?

typically this happens when the AV has quarantined the infected DLL and Windows tries to load it anyway.

I would look more closely at that DLL and determine if it is legit or virus-related. One clue would be if the file-date is more recent than any known software install/update, and the version/vendor info is blank when you look at the file properties.

Find any details on that DLL file, this is what I would do make a copy of the DDL del it from the system restart check the system out if all works well then you don't really need this DLL and if you do well you have a backup of it.
