getting user info in exchange 5.5

I'm not sure I follow here...do you mean an automated way of doing it? Or what program can you use to do it? Or how do people handle this efficiently?

If you just need a tool to enter the data, the built in Exchange Administrator tool is good. It can be run from an NT4 or Win2k system.

Look here for info on installing it:
http://support.microsoft.com/search/preview.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q264955

(delete any spaces in the URL)

What we do (for efficiency) is we have created "default users" for the different areas and when we create another X-type or Y-type user, we duplicate the template then modify the settings as required. It helps a little with account creation - at least in avoiding typing the address and location phone numberfor everyone.

Hope this helps some...good luck!

the exchange administrator program is by default loaded on the exchange server. it can be found in start, programs, microsoft exchange, microsoft exchange administrator.

if you want the admin tool on your PC, use the exch 5.5 cd and run setup. just install the admin tools.

once you start the program, you will have to connect to your server using the file menu. click in file, connect to server, and put the exchange server name.

the quickest way to find a user is to click on the global address list on the left side and then double-click the user you want to look at on the right side.
