I have been using Adobe Acrobat 5.0. This means that I am old and reluctant to change my ways, including updating to the latest version. Certain documents would not open, so I have loaded Acrobat Reader 8.1. Now when I open 5.0, I consistently get an error indicating GetWord.api plugin does not load correctly.
This requires a second mouse action to clear, and things progress normally in opening and full functionality appears to exist. Can anyone guide me in how to eliminate this alert so that it each time I open Acrobat, I do not need to close the alert window to continue.
It would also be nice to know what the plugin function is for, as I cannot find anything on line, other than a dialing feature that relates to it.
