I am trying to create a guide for our users of computer terms and concepts.
Anyone who works in Network support will know that the average user doesn’t understand even how to reboot and some don’t know the “any key”.

I am after documents on the internet to help me gather the information I need. Most of the ones I can find are either to basic or to complex. I don’t have the time to spend hours on this and I hope that someone knows where I can go directly to some good examples.

If “whatis.com” can’t help, then resources like “TechEncyclopedia” (www.techweb.com/encyclopedia/) and “WebOpedia” (http://webopedia.internet.com/) are also of no use.

I think we ALL know what you mean when users can’t find the ANY KEY. I would suggest that to be successful at this, you’ll need to provide many tools to your users, including Lunch ‘n’ Learn and an online “dictionary”.

For the dictionary, I strongly suggest that you go back to “whatis.com” and use it as a guide, but re-write the citations to suit your particular envirnoment.
