    Gmail’s “Default to full screen” is not working.

      I did the usual Compose a new email, set it to Default to full screen and it DOES NOT APPLY TO THE CURRENTLY OPEN EMAIL!

      NOT A BUG. Just click the trash can to toss out this email then click Compose and it was fine.

        I had posted my above Help question after trying an unworkable solution provided in one website.

        As it happened, after posting my Help question, I came across another website that provided the solution which worked.

        The solution is to press the Shift key while clicking on the diagonal two-way arrow icon.

        (One can switch back to the partial screen by clicking on the diagonal downward arrow icon in the full-screen page.)
