GoogleMail Outlook password invalid..why??

By hannah.e.quinn ·
I have my Outlook set up with my GoogleMail account. And I have never had any problems with it. I recently set it up to where the password has to be typed in upon start up, and exit (to send). Everything worked fine, and one day it stopped accepting my password. It says that it is invalid. I know this is the correct password, because I am still able to log into my Google.com account with it. I have tried everything I could to fix it, but it won't work. How can I get past this??

no, i'm not trying to get the password. I know my password, I'm not needing anything through GoogleMail...It's my Outlook. But I'm not all too familiar with Outlook, so I don't know how to take off the prompt where it asks to type in the password. I haven't ever posted here before. I did a google search for my question, and it led me to this site, but I couldn't actually get to any answers, so I made an account to ask on my own. I apologize if it seemed like I was trying to be fradulent. I just want to be able to use my Outlook again, instead of having to go through my web browser and log in everytime and refresh to get my emails.

it might be worth re-reading the original post.

"I know this is the correct password, because I am still able to log into my Google.com account with it."

Yes, but that's the only choice on the profile screen....

Try it yourself. Log into Manage My Account. Then look at the drop down choices for your State of residence. The only options for the Armed Forces are:

"Armed Forces Americas"
"Armed Forces Canada/Europe/Africa/MiddleEast"
"Armed Forces Pacific"

So, if they're somewhere in the world matching the middle choice, they've chosen the correct one.

Since that is a required field and MUST match the prefix for the phone number given (also required), they've done all they can to describe "their address".

Trust me. The two required fields must match when creating a new login.
