GPO for Single User

On Win2k Server can we apply GPO to single user or is it only for Groups & OU's ??

if we can,how do we apply GPO to single user ?

Create a new group and add that user to that group,apply group policy to that group.with permissions of (apply group policy) and read permissions.

You can't apply GPO's to groups. Only OU, Domains, and Sites.

You would have to put the user in his own OU.

You apply the GPO to an OU, Domain or Site and you can then filter who gets the GPO by using the security tab.

Create the GPO, then from the MMC right click the GPO>Properties>click the security tab, remove the listed users/groups and add the user/group you want to be affected by the GPO giving them Read and Allow Group Policy permissions

I agree with the consensus answer from the first two.

Create an OU just for this user. Put the user in the OU. Then create the GPO you want for this user only. Assign the GPO to the OU you made for the user.

Just so you know, you can apply GP to anything you want.

I have 5 different policies assigned specifically to individual users.
