Graphics not loading in IE6

I reformated C: and did a clean install of WIN98, IE6, Netscape 7.1, AOL 8, and Office XP. This same config worked fine with IE5.5, but now with IE6 (and aol since it is built with IE) the graphics on many web pages are not loading. For example, theJpeg file at microsoft.com: “Try the new Microsoft Office system” will not load. Java is working properly and Netscape looks great. Any ideas?
