Great opportunity in Africa for emerging IT professionals!

By ebghc ·
I am writing to you as the Recruitment Director of Global Health Corps. Global Health Corps is searching for some of the world's most promising emerging leaders - including IT professionals! I am writing to you because I want to get the word out to emerging leaders about this great opportunity! It would be great to be able to share this opportunity with the AITP community. Is it possible to send this information out to young professionals in your area involved in AITP?

We are currently seeking an IT Developer in Burundi for our 2011-2012 fellowship class. Applications are open now - March 1st on our website at www.apply.ghcorps.org. The IT Developer job description can be found here: http://www.ghcorps.org/placements/it-fellow

This is a great opportunity for emerging computer scientists and IT professionals to apply their skills, design systems, implement and strengthen programs, and gain valuable experience while making an impact on health around the world.

Global Health Corps is a non-profit organization that aims to mobilize a global community of emerging leaders to build the movement for global health equity. We do this by providing young people with year-long paid fellowships with outstanding organizations working on the frontlines of the fight for global health equity. We are excited to be offering 70 fellowship positions in Burundi, Malawi, Rwanda, Uganda, and the US.

Applicants must be under 30 years old, have earned an undergraduate university degree by July 2011, and be proficient in English. All fellows receive a living stipend, housing, health insurance, flights to and from the placement site, $1500 completion award, mentorship, and support from the GHC staff and alumni community.
