GroupWise and Outlook

By luv2bike2 ·
I am using Outlook 2000 to receive my Groupwise messages. When I receive an email message in Outlook from 2 addresses, the text portion of the message is BLANK. If I log on to another computer that has GroupWise installed, I can get those messagesand see the text. I have changed the message send from Plain Text to HTML and to Microsoft Outlook Rich text in the Mail Format section under Tools/Options. Still I can not see the Text in Outlook. I can see text messages from everyone else but 2email address. I have installed, uninstall, reinstall GroupWise and its Added plug in for Outlook. Still no luck. Any suggestions?

Thanks

GroupWise and Outlook

Had a similar problem on a laptop that I uninstalled GW, even using the GroupWise cleaner and started using Outlook 2000. Whenever we tried to open an e-mail forwarded from GW, got the error: "The form required to view this message cannot be displayed."
Microsoft KB 240815 had the answer. So if GW was installed prior, try this KB.

First, if you can receive other messages from Groupwise senders w/o problems, and only have issues with mail from 2 specific Groupwise senders, then your problem is not the Groupwise plug-in for Outlook. Your issue is related to either the actual sent messages from those 2 senders or the way Outlook is handling those messages.

Indulge me here, even tho the question seems simplistic, do you have any rules in Outlook that are specific to these two senders? If the answer is yes, then uncheck the rules to see if that has any affect on your messages.

Second, I'm curious as to what is actually received by you--assuming a message showing who sent, date/time, attachments?, and the body section shows no text? Can you scroll through the body, or do a select all, copy and paste into Notepad? If the message body was coming across in a white font, you'd see the text in Notepad...

Question: Are the two email addresses on a local Groupwise server? or from the internet?
GW does have some known issues with HTML-formatted messages going to outlook. The senders need to send in plain text...If the message was a forward or reply, there may also be issues.
