GUID / UUID

have domain, with around 20clients, while bringing the system in the domain i need not specify the GUID / UUID of the windows xp system's...

but now i want to add the GUID / UUID of the system, in the active directory...

how shud i do it??

does anybody have tried doing so???

what do you meen by adding GUID / UUID of the system, in the active directory

AD generally assigns a GUID / UUID of the system when it is added...

More over why do you need the GUID / UUID.. for ? ?

what do you meen by adding GUID / UUID of the system, in the active directory, AD generally assigns a GUID / UUID of the system when it is added... it's specifically done automatically.. you need not do anything automatically.. Well if you want to change you can do this using utilities.. like NEW SID..

More over why do you need the GUID / UUID.. for ? ? This could give more light on what you need to accomplish..

well basically i knew tat u need to specify the guid/uuid b4 while adding the system into the AD,,,

i was doing R&D, in finding out whether is it possible to add guid/uuid in the AD of the computer which is already added in the domain...

But anyways that sentence which u typed has given answers to lot many questions of mine..
