gx620 usb K/b mouse lock up when installing non dell o/s

when installing a ghosted sysprep image onto gx620 keyboard and mouse lock up, i am able to enter into the bios before hand, computer ok when reinstalled origional ghost image
these machines only have usb no ps2 conectors
