Hacking Access db Security

By karidly ·
I need help get past the permission settings on an Access 2000 database? It was written by someone else and I inherited it, now I need to make changes to the forms and they are 'locked down' with an Admin password. Can I get around it, or am I S-O-L ??

I assume this person no longer works for your company. If they refuse to give up the password, sending them a not-so-friendly letter from your company attorney may do the trick.

Yes,he's long gone. We are not a very big company and I wouldn't begin to know where to send it but thanks anyway.

Try lastbit.com. Their swiss army knife password cracking program dispenses with Office 2k security in a very easy to use package. It's about $150 or so. Very easy to use. Where Microsoft is concerned, there's no such thing as being SOL regarding security matters, unless, of course, you're trying to secure things, in which case, you actually are kinda SOL

Thanks, I will check this site out. It sounds like something that might be useful for more than this issue.
