Hard Disk Recovery

By morales_varela ·
I have come across hard disk that do not want to boot, not even in safe mode. I have tried running scandisk and received file structure errors. My question? Is there any utility or service that I can use to recover the data on bad hard disk?

There are data recovery tools and utilities, but your best option, if the data is important to you, is to go to a Data Recovery Company (a company that specializes in data recovery) and pay for their services.

I only recommend that people look into recovery with drives they can afford to lose all the data from if things go wrong. The problem is that if you do not know what you are doing, you can lose everything on the drive. The drive is already having problems; it does not take much to totally destroy it.

If you want to attempt data recovey yourself, I recommend paying the $70 for the full version of this:

attaching the hdd to a computer with a good working hdd (attachthe bad hdd as secondary) and working through the steps. Again, only if you are willing to risk the loss of everything on that hdd.
