Has anyone able to connect Outlook from outside of firewall?

By hamichael ·
Hi,

I am being struggling this problem for last few days, and wonder if someone can help me with.

- Users want to access Exchange from home. I have configured the static port on Exchange server based from Article ID : 270836 and configured static communication ports in Outlook 2003. In addition, I also configured the Firewall to allow those 3 ports through. But Outlook still unable to connect to Exchange.

Does anybody have any suggestion? Thank very much in advanced

Run it through a VPN. Or it could be a cached DNS problem.

If you're using Exchange 2003 your users can connect via RPC over HTTP. The requirments can be found in the following link: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/Exchange/guides/E2k3RPCHTTPDep/5417d8c0-15d4-4520-986c-047d1221ffb2.mspx
