Has anyone here heard of the tool OTListIt?

Because it's being recommended in a lot of the security forums (such as major geeks, malwarebytes, avg, and bleeping computer) I lurk on as a replacement for Hijack This.

If anyone has used it, could you let me know if it works better, as I can't access the link at the moment.

A quick Google search

by NickNielsen In reply to Has anyone here heard of ...

turned up numerous references, including download recommendations from moderators at Malwarebytes, BleepingComputer, and Geekstogo. But none of the links are active, and none of the recommendations are less than a year or so old.

My initial instinct is to stick with HijackThis.

But if you want to try it out, I found a good download link at http://www.mediafire.com/?xny2nwmgzqn

Seems to have the advantage of whitelists

which are a good idea, especially for those people who like to post HJT logs all over, unrequested.

Other side - what is in the white list, how accurate is it, and who maintains it? (Or maintained.)

Not having to look through a bunch of normal entries (even if they are spoofed, HJT can't tell you that anyway) is a little handy.

Then again, there is also Autoruns.

I have Autoruns

though I've yet to try it (or a bunch of other new programs I acquired). I'll test all three when I get a chance.
