Having trouble with my Acer Aspire One Series

Having problems booting up. I keep getting FAT error message and redirected to selecting normal boot up,root directory boot up , or last working boot up.
However, it takes it back to the entire process over and over again. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP !!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds as if the HDD has been damaged

Has the unit been dropped recently?

While this is not one of the problems that I've seen with the 1 Series Net Books you can test the HDD with it's makers Testing Utility Sea Tools for DOS available here

Though in this case you'll need to make a Boot Disc on a USB Thumb Drive and transfer the Seatools Folder to that to use this utility. Then Open the BIOS and make sure that the system Boots from the USB prior to the HDD and if you made any changes in the BIOS to do this save the changes as you exit the BIOS.
