headers in Excel spreadsheet

By elsox ·
I have a user who is getting numbers as headers on new Excel spreadsheets instead of numbers (should be numbers on the row headers, letters on column headers). Can't find anything in Excel help about this!

Go to Tools | Options | Genaral tab and turn off R1C1 reference style

great, yes, this solves the problem. Except that it keeps defaulting to the r1c1 setting for some reason. This has just been happening for the past week or so with no changes made to her system.

When you go to tools and options and change the setting to the way you want click ok and then save it. Just do this on a blank spreadsheet. Then close the entire application and reopen it and you should be good to go.
