Help Authoring

By jimo ·
Hi, I am new to this field. My shop is developing applications is VB 6.0. They hope to eventually migrate our stuff to the .NET platform.

I have been asked to write the help file for our main application. I have been learning to use this application in its various stages of development. This is my first time writing a help file. I am familiar with programming concepts and basics, however, I don't write much code. I work in training and support. I believe if I can write a good help file, it will definitlely benefit my training and support of the software.

I am looking forward to this challenge and am very open to any ideas or suggestions for assistance or guides to help authoring for a BEGINNER.

Thanks much.
