Help Desk Software

By cshipman ·
My office currently uses the HelpStar help desk support software. We are exploring options at this time of changeing. We support 1100 users. I'm looking for ideas, on a good product to replace what we currently use. So if you are in an organization that uses someting like this, tell me about what you have, likes advantages and disadvantages. Looking for Help.

TrackIt

I am using Track It. It is a great program. Easy to set up, does helpdesk, inventory, purchasing, library, tracks training and allows you to create great reports using Crystal Reports. One of the best features is the Audit function. There are additional add ons that integrate to allow you to do different things. The price is pretty good as well.

Track-IT

We also use Track-IT software. We used version 5 until a few months ago when we upgraded to version 6, both of which we have been very pleased with. We run a three tech shop (two techs and a manager) and manage approx. 500 clients. The system manages all our purchasing, work order, resource library, and training information, and with the Standard version we still have the networkability we require. The add-on modules are pricey, but they do add real functionality to the software that is worth considering so long as you really need the features it provides. Feel free to e-mail me with any further questions you have.

Helpstar

by abdikarim.ali In reply to Help Desk Software

I used to work for a company that impelemented Remedy Helpdesk. It's very good in fact although a bit more expensive.

In my new job I'm being asked to evaluate Helpstar to replace our custom helpdesk application on Domino. Why are moving away from Helpstar, would you please share some of the reasons with me.
