    Help—Error opening an attachment

    We just bought a new laptop and when I am in webmail the attachment is an MS word document attached does not open up msword to view the document, it thinks it an html document and just opens another window of IE and is all garbled.
    Anyone know why?????

      Webmail may be configured to view attachments rahter than open them in the proper application. You may have to save the attachment to your local computer and then open it with the proper app.

      Check File Types

      Can you open a Word document on your laptop by just double clicking on it? If not, try checking your “File Types” settings, to ensure .doc is associated with MS Word
      (My Computer\Tools\Folder Options\File Types)
