Help! Possessed Scroll Bars!

By jmetaljon ·
I have a very strange problem.. On my Windows XP machine, after a short amount of time of logging in, the scroll bars on any application (Word, Excel, IE, MSN - anything) start jumping around of their own accord. It doesn't make a difference if I'm online or not. My anti-virus definitions are bang up to date and I have scanned for viruses every week - found nothing. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this as it's driving me up the wall??

Are you in an office environment or at home? Someone could be playing a joke on you.

Try uninstalling your mouse, then installing it again.

Also try setting up your Virus Scanner to exclude *.lnk files, so that it does not scan, lock and re-order your shortcuts whilst being displayed.

Andy
